PICKING THE PERFECT GIFT
It's always more fun to receive a creative, personal gift than a generic one. And it's usually just as much fun for the gift giver to pick out a really special, meaningful present.
There are plenty of ways you can figure out the best canvas print to give your mom or another special woman in your life. Just remember you want to give them something you know they'll like, not just something you'd want! Some tips:
- How is her home decorated? Is she a bold, color splash kind of person, with bright walls and eclectic art, or does she prefer calm pastels and traditional wall decor? Go for an image that suits the existing style.
- Is she planning any renovations soon, or mentioned a specific wall that's just too empty for her taste? Sneak in a measuring tape and record the size of the space you're planning to fill, so you can be sure you've got the dimensions right (it's harder to eyeball that than you might think)!
- If she has just moved or lives far away, and you have yet to see her home, talk to friends and family who have. Maybe that regular guest knows about upcoming renovations, an empty space above the couch just begging for a shot of the grandkids, or has heard mention of a skyline or nature shot she'd love to display. You can also casually ask for some pictures of the new place!
- Don't forget to think about the presentation. Does she tend to go with one big piece of art on each wall, or does she seem to prefer groupings of smaller images? You don't want to present someone who enjoys tasteful 18x24" images with a massive 4 foot by 6 foot canvas.

ORDERING
Once you have Uploaded your photos and placed your order, we'll get to work!
Your canvas art will be printed using high quality, archival inks and Epson ink jet printers. Once it is coated with a protective UV- and scratch-resistant semi-matte spray, it will be stretched and affixed around a custom-made pine wood frame. Hanging hardware is attached, and your order is securely packaged and shipped to you.

HISTORY OF MOTHER'S DAY
The origins of a day that celebrates mothers can be traced back to the Ancient Greek celebration of the maternal goddesses - primarily Rhea, mother of Zeus - and the spring festival of Hilaria, which honored Cybele.
The British celebration of Mothering Sunday is the more direct connection, however. Held shortly before Easter each year, beginning in the 1600s, Mothering Sunday culminated in children bringing forth flowers and gifts in honor of their mothers. Many other nations have also long recognized similar holidays.
Though Mothering Sunday was rarely practiced by the end of the 19th century, it grew popular again following World War II, primarily as a commercial holiday used to drive sales.
Regardless of the original intentions, it's hard to deny a day of giving thanks to the woman who birthed you, burped you, and taught you how to brush your teeth!
